New here. I have read everything about the CTT. On here, Rennlist and Pelican. I am aware of the foibles of the CTT. I am mechanically able, and do all my own work on all of my vehicles. So, I read much about all the repairs and breakdowns, but it seems to me that if a person gets one that has had these taken care of, or gets it for a price that would allow the repairs and upgrades to be done, one can have a relatively reliable vehicle? Am I right or out to lunch?

Thanks, guys. The way I am looking at it, it may be best to get one that has NOT had the coolant pipes done and does not currently leak. That way you would know that it has not had a catastrophic failure that could lead to greater issues. Looks like about a 3 banana out of 5 kind of repair and a reasonable cost for the kit from some of the vendors. Just thinking out loud.

It's a pretty simple repair if you are skilled at all working on cars.

No problem on wrenching. Supercharged, lifted, re-geared, armoured my locked 97 landcruiser. Changed from an automatic to a 5 speed on my 92 Lexus SC400 and built a 375hp 383 SBC for my boat. I have a sickness and cannot leave well enough alone.
