Drive on 22's

Hi all! This wheel thing is still taking WAY too much time. By time I mean, I've been waiting too long for my wheel upgrade. I'd really like to buy 22's but need to drive a Cayenne with 22's and air suspension to help determine the ride quality.

I live in the bay area of Northern CA and would like to hook up with someone who would let me check out the ride quality of their Pepper.

I'm near San Jose and would drive an hour.

Thanks for reading :)

Im in Fresno about 2 hours from you, I have the 22' Techarts with Air Suspension. Although they are currently all bent, since I ran over a serious dip in the road.

CromagNet Jul 11, 2005 01:26 PM

"currently ALL bent"??? All FOUR??!!

Cayenne328 Jul 11, 2005 09:05 PM

the ride with 22" is bumpy. But managable bumpy in my opinion. My previous car was a sedan, lowered and on 18", so it's more comfortable than that.

With a lowering module (Gemballa) and the sports setting and lowest ride height, it's a killer. There ae signs of creaking in my airsus, gotta take it to porsche to check.

If you want PM me and I'll pass on Patrick's info. He's got the Cayenne TT on 22s. Fred's old ride and it does ride just fine. Only thing is the tires go fast;0

I have had no problems with my 22' rims

Big Cheers to Patrick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :twothumbs:

He was kind enough to let me drive his super pepper today!

We hooked up in the city, San Francisco which had excellent roads to test for ride quality. There were potholes and metal covers everywhere.

Patrick has a sweeeeeeeeeeeeet CT! Many nice extras. He had a lowering mod with 22's and it road smoother than my stock 19's. Hard to believe!!!

I got back in my CT and confirmed it was the same or better. IMHO

I can just see the bank account dropping as I'm typing ;)

THANKS Patrick! Very nice of you. :)

he is a very nice guy.

Does it mean that Techart wheels are not in good quality? I am doing well with mine in Boston road

hilarious

Cromagnet,

Now what's the plan, Lowering module and techart?:D

CromagNet Jul 16, 2005 12:39 AM

Haa Haa! Yes, I want to get 22's and that lowering module that Patrick has. Then, after I see that it's not quite right, I'll pro'ly have to get the body kit too! sheesh :)

Silver Techart wheels look the best to me but mucho dinero. I was eyeing the JAZ set that wilber was selling but I haven't heard about them anywhere.

Does anyone know about them?

LIL RAJA Jul 16, 2005 09:18 AM

Techart, Cargraphics or HRE would be the choice of wheels to go with. Let me know I am selling my Techart wheels and body kit that is brand new. Change of plan on my part.
