Any DUBAI Cayenne owneres running on 21"s/22"s?
I just picked up a 05 CT and feel the bug to upgrade!
I'm looking at picking up some black 21" or 22" wheels with a polished lip but I'm worried about the ride quality (currently running on 18"s). If anyone wouldn't mind letting me drive around (or maybe drive?) in their Cayenne for a few minutes I would really appreciate it! :D |
Pics please

The only options that I couldn't get for my car :( PM when you get yours it would be nice to have a couple of runs for fun! BTW who's your salesman? ffr996: I'll take some snaps tomorrow and post em here. |
What wheels you thinking of?

Here's mine with 20" Techno.
Just by looking at my wheels & how little rubber is there, I know with 22" the ride would be harsher. However, the excellent quality of Dubai roads is on your side. Having said that, I havent really found the Gemballa, TechArts, etc. wheels very appealing & have also had a very bad experience with dealers here wanting to void warranty with aftermarket wheels (case in point, BMW). So I'm happy with the Technos, at lease for now. |
Talk it over with your dealer first. The attitude of Porsche Middle-East is to drop the warrenty on cars that are modified, wheels included.

I have no idea why they are threatning to void the warrenty on wheels changes/etc. They are far more strict than they were before that's for sure. It doesn't hurt to ask before you commit on the wheel change though.

i live in montreal and was worried about the terrible roads and pot holes so got the 20's which was the right choice for montreal...if i lived somewhere else i would definitely select the 22's.....remember....22's run 295x30....so you are getting 30% of the 295...where the 20's you are getting 40% of 275 (times 2)....i would go for the 22's but only with michelin tires....i have spent the past 4 months re balancing and changing tires...in the end could only get rid of the slight vibration but going with michelins who have a special patent for large tire assembly whereby the tires is assembled with 2 parts instead fo 4 like all other tire companies....ok....too many words....bottom line 22's look real hot with the michelins....good luck!

22" is probably the biggest I'll ever go since my dad has 24" on the escalade and it completely derives any comfort that the car originally had...plus a lot of flat tires and 1 broken rim :(

they have them here for sure....i will check for you but i was at the shop and the owner put them on his car...let me know and i will go check it out if this will help....Pirelli iheard are the wost for the tire road force vibration....let me know
