Looking at 2011 Cayenne S Hybrid

Hello Fellow Cayenne owners. I'm looking for some advice. I am looking to purchase a 2011 Cayenne S Hybrid. I've never been an ecofriendly person owning a M3, M5, and 997s. I guess I'm tired of stopping at the pump all the time. So.....I thought I would purchase an SUV 20/24mpg for a Porsche. Does anyone have any experience owning a Hybrid? Do they have a history of being in the repair shop? How about the non Hybrid owners. Do you like your Cayenne? The Hybrid I'm looing at is pretty loaded. Asking price w/o certification is $55,700. What do you think? Here is the build sheet.

The Cayenne, IMO, is a fantastic vehicle. I would definitely look at a hybrid for my next one. My only advice, as with any vehicle, is to drive it and make sure YOU like it and want to live with it for a while. They certainly don't drive/handle like a 5,000 pound truck.

Honestly, if you are looking for fuel economy in a Cayenne, at least look at the diesel. I'm not sure how the second hand market is but it is quite a bit more fuel efficient than the hybrid, and you dont have to worry about any of the high voltage stuff, or someday a hybrid battery. The only downsides to the diesel are slightly more frequent oil changes, and the Adblue diesel fluid. IMHO the fuel economy and stability of the fuel/power system is worth it to me.

I just bought a hybrid yesterday, so far I really like it. Sure it's not a fuel efficient as a diesel but the acceleration and comfort are both really nice. The transition between the engine and battery is very smooth and kind of fun to watch, which keeps me busy during my long drives.
