Angel Eyes to Factory Fog Lights Thoughts

Has anyone found a way to install Angel Eyes to your factory fog lights and used them as DRLs? I have a 08 Cayenne Turbo and wanted to either remove the factory fog lights and install aftermarket fog lights with angel eyes or add the angel eyes to the factory. I'm sure adding to the factory might not be the way to go since you would have to get the housing apart to install and I don't know if that can be done - so an aftermarket may be the way to go, but I don't know what will fit and what has to be done to the wiring to get them to operate correctly. Anybody done this or any thoughts?

Thanks

I have an 08 S. I was thinking about taking the middle turn signal light apart and adding LED DRL in there. Trying to get a used set on Ebay to try it on.

Your car your call. However, if I was going to retrofit a lighting system, I would install them and run them off an accessory switch separate from the existing lighting. Gremlins occur too frequently when splicing in or adding to existing installed lighting.

Looking like a BMW is not what I'm trying to achieve, but I am limited on what lights I can alter for DRL. I don't want the spend 2K on getting the SpeedART LED Daytime Running Light Kit - which if something burns out is a lot of money. I also don't want to add something to the front of my vehicle that doesn't look like it "belongs". I know that the aftermarket front spoilers give you more options on the amount of lights you can add, but again we are back to several thousands of dollars. Below is a picture of my front end. I don't know if installing a set of LED's to the grill somehow would be an option. Maybe installing some type of lights in the square openings beneath the fog lights?

Just my opinion, but BMW angels eye retrofits/replicas was a 2004-2006 fade. I am afraid I am with Cole on this one - it might look tacky to some. Same idea as lambo doors.

However, if you do decide to do it, I believe CCFL was the way to go back then. Best of luck in any event!
