LEDs for H3 lights (cornering lights/fog lights) - Has anyone used them
Has anyone used these and have they thrown any errors.
If not these same ones, have you used a similar solution (replacing H3 bulbs with LED style lights so that there is no error on instrument cluster of in Durametric program). Just curious. Thanks. LINK TO LIGHTS - just one sample of many - there are a lot of these |
In the fogs im sure they wouldn't bring up an error message till you turned them off. It happens with the HID's in my fog lights. I would like to change the cornering lights on mine, the yellow just doesn't look good to me. Let us know if you go for these lights.

...yeah, I'm thinkin', I'm thinkin'...lol
I will take a peek at what options I see and will then make a choice. Will update if I go for it too. In the mean time if anyone else has LEDs for corner lights or fog lights, let us know here. I replaced the corner lights (both at same time) with the Ultra brights, and one went out already (about 5 months - unacceptable). |
I have tried LEDs in the cornering light positions, and they did not work at all. They would need a resistor in series if I remember right, and I haven't come across correct ones yet.

Cornering light are dimmed, and you can not dim LED without controller as I know. So as I know they should work for lights but not in cornering.
Anyway, If someone find out If anything else than standard bulb work in cornering lights, I would really like to know |
I think the corner lightrs are on/off action, as when I see the headlights on, corner light is off, and turns on when the steering wheel achieves a certain angle either direction.
Under normal operation I did not see the H3 corner light on when steering wheel straight, thus I assume the bulb is on/off action. |
I don't know If they are any different types of light controller or maybe different coding or something else, but I can say for sure that mine are not just on/off function. When I turn lights on, cornering lights working at around 20% power, but when I turn steering wheel one of them start working with 100% power.
