Paint Chipping on 04 CTT

The paint on all of the plastic parts I.e. Mirrors, front bumper, rear fin, etc. is peeking off in large chunks that are about 1/2" to 1" wide. Anyone else having this issue? Any fixes other than sanding and re painting?

I haven't had this issue with my 2004 CS at just over 140K miles.

I haven't heard of this either. Is the Cayenne mostly stored outside? What are your weather conditions? Can you take a picture of it?

I have had this happen on an older vehicle but was due to preping of the surface when the new paint was appiled. But it took a few years before it made it to that point.

Since I've also not heard of this issue on older Porsche models, I have to ask. Did you buy this car used? I wonder if if paint chips are due to poor paint application done by a body shop. When you say rear fin, did you mean the rear spoiler? Are these OEM parts?

Sounds like a poorly applied or prepped re-paint job.

I had chipping on the roof. Upon closer inspection the roof had been repainted. Almost looks as if someone drove into the garage with bikes on the roof. LOL
