Issue with LCD in cluster (955 turbo)

a few days after i purchased my vehicle, i noticed a staining/scape marks on the LCD. it was not there at the time of purchase

the dealer says that i will have to replace the cluster to fix this problem. i have seen replacement LCD for non turbo vehicles but there doesn't seem to be a fix for vehicles with color display. the screen works fine and i can make out most of the info.

anyone experienced any issues like this in the past and any fixes for it?

Hmmmm....... Have you wiped it with anything at all? When run your hand over it can you tell of any imperfections or feel anything on the screen? Seems weird it would present it self all of a sudden.

Whoa! I clean my clusters all the time and they look nothing like that. Look like some chemical ate that up.

exactly it does looks like a chemical reaction. only thing is that the screen on the outside is smooth. this looks like the screen on the LCD itself has reacted.

i'm a bit skeptical to get it removed as I dont know the amount of work required for it.

i suppose my option would be replace a new LCD. something else i've noticed is that the letters all over lap in the menus. i'll try to post pics of that as well.
