Wobbly ride '08 CTT w/ 21" GTS wheels
 

Had summer 21" GTS wheels installed yesterday and noticed odd wobbly feel, like a back and forth, when driving the car. The tire center is very well respected and swears the wheels are balanced, said tires about 50%. Any ideas? I have been on 19" s for awhile, so I suppose it could be the return to feeling the road?

Make sure they're centered on the hub; jack one side up, unbolt the wheels and put them back on little by little, make sure to get a full seat. Possible issue. After on, spin them, make sure they don't look out of round.

I've got stock 21s and when that happened it was steering tie rods. It vibrated over 55mph. and felt like warped rotors, but they were fine after the tie rods were done.

Appreciate the replies. I believe the poor ride is related just to poor roads. Not sure how long I can tolerate 21" wheels with the rotten road conditions here in Ohio. Oh well...

Thinner profile you'll definitely feel more of the road. What PSI are you running?

New tires felt squirmy wobbly on my BMW X3. Tires were aired up to the max press listed on the tire 45 psi. Bled them down to the 36F 38R listed in the door and no more squirm or wobble.
