09 cayenne gts

When i go to start it first thing in morning.it spins quite at bit before it starts . after the first start it starts very easy the rest of the day. what do you think.. there are no check engine lights. thanks.

It’s your starter. It’s a pain. Manifold completely off. Replace gaskets. Clean carbon from valves while you’re in there. Fuel rail off. Then it’s really quite simple. Be EXTRA careful reconnecting fuel rail (ask me how I know Having dealt with poor starting issues the previous three years, I was amazed at the performance of the new starter. Also no need to buy Porsche, grab the Bosch. Same unit - much cheaper.

Fixed.

It was the high pressure fuel pump on the back of the engine. put new pump start right up in morning.

Nice. Well I’ve done one of those too Easy but very cramped. First my HPFP (car started ok, just ran terribly) then my starter about 6 months later. Next issue is tackling an intermittent p1372....
