Drag racing
.. it was the first time for me and the funny thing is my best time was on the first run. Here are the results... only performance mods i have done is airfilters and gemballa muffler.
60' 2.336
330 6.484
1/8 9.907
1/4 15.318
MPH 90.95
Not too happy with the results but oh well.. time for a super charger and some mods.

Lmao, great line JAMY. Glad to see you got the truck out to New England Dragway. Hope you at least had some fun. Those numbers are not that terrible considering you are moving 6k lbs of vehicle or so. When did you do this? Friday evening?

I believe I can get into the high 14's I just need to experiment more into my launch. When I launched the first 2 times my RPM was around 2000

I'm an old timerdrag racer and I can help a bit.
First... you'll knock .2-.3 off your time by switching out your 22" for some small wheels. Try to bolt on some 18" OE alloys with 255/55's on them.
Remember, those 22" wheels and tires weigh near 80 pounds... the 18's are 55lbs... it will help a lot.
Your 285/35-22's also hurt your torque multiplication by their height.
You have NO traction concerns so the small wheels and tires are the hot tip!
Also try to stall the converter as high as it'll go at launch to get you into your torque curve faster. Also remember that stock motors don't make their best power on the top end, so if I were you I'd probably short-shift slightly from 1-2 and 2-3... maybe 6200rpm, this will get you back into the torque band faster than letting it wind up to 6500.
Also add a octane booster, this will allow the ECU to dial in max advance timing.
I see you going 14.99 the way the car sits today

Did you run automatic or shifted manually? What gear did you launch at 1st or 2nd?
