Question Question about Fabspeed Catbypass Pipes...

Does anyone have the Fabspeed catbypass pipes on their Cayenne S STOCK muffler? Does it make the exhaust note louder? I'm asking because I am looking to increase the sound of the exhaust note and have considered replacing the stock mufflers for a custom exhaust job but came across these catbypass pipes. Price of both things are around the same... and if replacing the catbypass pipes increases the sound I want, then I want to keep the stock mufflers since they look pretty nice. Any suggestions is appreciated. Thanks!

In case you are wondering why I don't just get an exhaust system... I can't afford it at this point. So I want to spend less than $1k. I'm looking for a nice exhaust note (basically louder than stock).

kooser is infamous around these parts
I do have some clips of stock vs. cat bypass on my site -but these are for the turbo.
It changes it slightly, but not to the level I think you are trying to achieve.
It will drop about 20lbs off of your car and increase 10-12HP though. Plus when you do add an exhaust later it will increase its note too, so it is a good start with a tighter budget at this time.

Had it on my car before.. sounds great even without an aftermarket exhaust.. I suggest get it, then put BM filters on.. also search the for sale thread and see if there's anything used.. i saw some before..
As far as video here is from one of our members, this car have oem exhaust..
sounds great.. good luck buddy!!

Dont do it with stock muffler, It will sound raspy and not very deep, I suggest you to have their Muffler installed for that Nascar sound.

Yeah I don't like the "raspy" sound... I want a deep sound.
I guess I should go for a custom exhaust (hendrady has one and its very nice) since I can't afford any of the available exhaust systems.

Yup, Mean's right.. on the turbo using stock muffler is fine, has a totally diferent sound .. the CS is raspy, but still the sound is very unique compared to other cars

I just took the Bypasspipe off my wifes car because she hated the way it sounded. Granted this was on our V6 Cayenne but since you asked.... I've heard good things about the V8 bypass pipes but have not heard them for myself so cannot comment.

Another thing is the Pipe that i got required my installer to weld on a exhaust hanger to keep it from rubbing against I believe the drive shaft or the frame.
