Does anyone know how to get the time to show up on the PCM?

I can only get the temperature in the bottom right corner. i don't like to have to change this on the multi function or hit car just to see the time...

I don't think there is a way to get it to permanently show on the PCM. You can set it up on the multi-function display on the dash on the bottom line...

It's under the PCM options. Hit either info or car can't remember then option button then go into PCM settings and look for it under display you can then decide either time or temp.

+1--at least on mine. You can make it show on the car menu as the first screen next to the compass there, but I can't make it show in the place of the temperature in the bottom right corner.

Okay just got home and I'm sitting in my cayenne. From my PCM I pushed the car button, then the option button, select the SET PCM system option, then select the Display PCM option, then select the Footer (temp./time) option. Choose wether you want time or temp then back out. You are all set. Hope that clarifies it for everyone. If you still can't find it perhaps you need an update. Good luck.

Do u know what software version you have? When was your car built? I definitely don't have that option, late Nov build, so it must have been an update. I remember reading many complaints from the early 2011 adopters because of the lack of time display on the PCM. I wonder if dealers charge for software updates? Not a big deal to me at this point, I got used to looking at the small display by the speedometer. Thanks for sharing!

Mine was built end of May and doesn't have it. I think he has a 2012.

Correct I do have a 2012 just landed about 2 weeks ago so I'm sure it has the latest update. Might need to make the trek to the dealer for an update if it's worth it to you. Good luck guys.

Let me know if anyone gets their software updated.. I'll probably request it the next time I'm at the dealer. Probably won't be for awhile though

The lack of a full time clock on the 2011 is one of my main issues with the UI for this car. I had the dealer check to see there is a "hidden" menu in the PCM to display the time instead of the temp. No luck.

That along with the inability to remember the radio was muted when turning the car off (radio comes back on when you start the car every time). I really dislike this.

Is the radio bug fixed in the 2012? I wonder what else has been changed in the 2012 PCM and also why is it so hard to get updates/patches from the dealer.

Regards

I am also disappointed by not able to display the time on my 2011 PCM. However, if Porsche considers this as a product improvement, then they are not obligated to retrofit it to previous owners even though this may involve something as simple as a software/firmware update. I hope if more owners bring this to Porsche's attention, they may think otherwise.

Mine was built one year ago. I show the time and temp at the bottom of every screen except the map, FWIW.
