Question Power kit for the 2011+ 958 S

Hi,

Glad to join this forum, this is actually my first post.. I’ve ordered a 2012 958 S and I’m gonna become a “cayenner” in a couple of weeks according to the local dealer

I’ve been looking everywhere online for a power kit for the 2011+ 958 S, but no luck! I checked Hamann, Gemballa, TechArt, SpeedArt, …… and none of them offered any mods for the 958 S except for wheels, body kit, interior, maybe air filters and so on.. The weird thing is that some of these companies do have some power mods such as ECU mod for the CTT, diesel, V6 and even the Hybrid! But why not the CS??!!!

Any idea guys?

I know man.. it sucks! I asked Porsche local dealer and they said the same thing: nothing for CS! I hope Hamann would take the initiative very soon.. it would go really well with their 958 body kit.

Im in search of software/exhaust/intake but options are few. Im leaning towards the factory sport exhaust...even though they dont claim any power increase. As for software I've heard that GIAC is working on it....but it supposedly is a difficult ECU to crack. We'll see.....

you're right.. the factory sports exhaust system is just a cool sound addition to the car.. when I told the local dealer to add it during the order phase, I asked them if it would add some hp, they said and I quote "not even a couple"!

Yup...pretty disappointing. BUT....I like that it uses the sport button to make it louder...thats a nice feature. I also have not heard an aftermarket unit (yet) that IMO sounds nice. My buddy at Champion Motorsport said the Tubi exhaust sounds good...but I have yet to verify that. Im thinking OEM sport exhaust with a CAT delete might be the ticket.

gentlemen, please take a moment to look at the offerings we at Fabspeed have for your cars!

http://www.fabspeed.com/958_cayenne.html

for the 958 S we have secondary cat bypass pipes, mufflers, and air filters. The differece is absolutely noticeable in power gains and the sound is fantastic! Please PM me for forum member pricing!

we did not dyno any of the cars after install, but I would say that 18-20hp sounds about right! The throttle response and TQ was improved in a BIG way.

The upgrades will not affect warranty, we actually have a number (a lot) of Porsche dealers installing these for us too!

I brought this up before, but you Fabspeed guys should really reshoot that video with a properly bolted on exhaust.

Everytime I show someone this exhaust they comment on how "cheap" it sounds.
