It's almost here! The wait is over!
Well I got the call that the beast should arrive at the dealer tomorrow and be ready either later in the day or Thursday. It is almost 3 months to the day from ordering which is what they estimated it would take.
Thanks to everyone for the incredible input and helping me with the wait. I will get my cheap digital camera out and try to get something decent if that is possible. I will be following the RAK break in method and not the Larry spilled drink method..... hilarious. I will also be heating up the garage as soon as possible to clean it and apply the Opticoat 2.0 sealant as was highly recommended. Any last minute check list suggestions when picking her up from the dealer? Thanks, Rob :D:D:D:D:D:D |
Don't have them detail the outside. Very "light" clean and light buff if anything. I only trust myself when detailing properly, especially darker cars but same with lighter for my preferences.

Thanks JACE. Yes I have to do a careful cleaning myself before applying the Opticoat or whatever is on the surface will be sealed in.
|
can't wait to see pics! I've never had the patience to custom order and wait for a car.
|
Also tell them you'd like a full set of winter Porsche mats. They'll always give. Mine did. Also gave me full color matched ones as well.

Adjust the mirrors. Lots of times so excited forgot I do that till on the road the Firest time. Not smart. Check the mileage!!! If its over like 25 miles start an inquiry. Have your sales guy pair your phone and make sure you got te window sticker I know all this sounds stupid but once you pull from the lot it's he said she said. ENJOY Oh get a free quart of oil. |
Great advice- I'm taking notes so I don't forget anything. ;)
|
Don't forget to ask your dealer to throw in a free Porsche Key Chain :-)
|
You know Frank I was wondering about the key chain !!!

Another thing...If you like your salesman, give him the highest marks on the survey. He will be happy and you will because you never know when you'll need him for future vehicle purchases. Stay in touch with him also..it helps a lot. I did and he emails me a lot of stuff.. Porsche world road show I got to go to, another Porsche owners event...etc... Lots of freebees. And no, I'm not a salesman. hilarious |
