CDR+ and PCM owners. How's the audio quality?
CDR+ and PCM owners without Bose or Burmester. How would you rate the audio quality? My current build has base CDR (not CDR+) with Bose speaker system. I'm debating if i should...
-keep my current configuration and use MP3 data CDs since there's no USB/iPod input or -switch to CDR+ without Bose or Burmester since it includes a speaker upgrade from base and for the USB, HD radio, upgraded screen, and possible Bluetooth audio streaming. |

We have the Bose on our 2011 Panamera, but we skipped it on our 2013 Cayenne S and took the PCM/CDR-plus instead. The CDR-plus is ok for day-to-day 'general' listening, it is adequate but not great. If you read the specs, the current CDR-plus is much better than the previous generation. Thanks to the relatively large door woofers on the Cayenne, the bass is not too bad, but the BOSE does have better treble and overall sonic clarity. If you don't mind the cost, get the BOSE. We saved the money and spent it on getting 19 in. wheels instead.
