2012 Cayenne Hybrid Pulsing Drone Noises..........Normal?
Dear Fellow Cayenne Hybrid owners:
I recently bought a 2012 Cayenne Hybrid with about 30k miles on it. As I get use to the car, I started noticing a pulsing type of drone noise around 70-80mph on the 8th gear accelerating. At the beginning I thought it was the tire but I start noticing that it only happen when my foot is on the gas and as soon as I let it go the noise is gone.
I brought it back to the dealer and both the head service tech and the regional service manager took a ride and said it was "normal" to have this pulsing drone and all hybrids "may" have that.
Wow, I said, a car with a sticker price of $96780 would have a Pulsing Drone and it's "NORMAL"? I better start doing some research on my own.
What do you think most likely it is?
Drive shaft?
Rear Diff?
Transmission?
Exhaust?
Thanks for reading.
