I'm going the LED route on my new-to-me GTS, which lights did you order from AZN?

this is the 2015 version taken from the launch event I attended last night, it does look like a whole different units
since the color is very identical to mine, I probably won't attempt to test these on my car, other people feel free and let us know

If the 2015 is designed with LED license plate lights, the bulb burnout sensors are probably redesigned to detect the different impedance of LED bulbs, therefore, no need for resistors.
So if you install the 2015 LEDs onto pre-2015 models, you will probably get an error code. Just my guess.

there you go, it's more than 50% cheaper than the one I got too!
I might just get it for the heck of it
that will be my guess as well, it will be nice if people can just pop in the 2015 LED and have dealer program the error code off. that'll be nice

Just want to let you know, I have a 2006 997 C2S with DEPO LED taillights. I purchased the stock LED license plate lights from Suncoast Porsche. I also purchased the Phillips warning canceler that you recommended. I found out that I did not need to install the warning canceler. I did not have to reverse the polarity or install the canceler. It is possible the warning canceler came with the DEPO LED taillights is preventing an error code from occurring. Sometimes things turn out better than you think. Clean installation and looks great with all the other LEDs. Thanks for the thread.

Folks - If it helps anyone I installed these. Initially, the dash showed a quick error code, but its not returned and its been a week. Lighting is good, not sure about the k, but it appears white.

Yes, all you'd need are canbus 194 wedge bulbs and you won't get any errors, but some like to do whole housing replacements. Problem with whole housing is those typically have external load resistors that will need to be safely mounted somewhere and as the LED is integrated into the plate light housing, it's more costly to replace if one fails.

I bought my canbus wedge LED's from AZN for my license lights. Worked well for 6months, but suddenly starting getting error message on dash, despite the LEDs still working. Couldn't stand the error message, so I removed them

Should contact us. Could have been a faulty component. You're covered under our 1 year warranty policy so could have swapped out a replacement.
