Once in a while when I start up the 2014 Cayenne GTS the Multifunction map does not load. It just says Map loading, but the dash GPS/Map works fine. Also at the same time the phone also does not connect - with no phone connected in blue on the PCM screen. This happens once every 10 times or so I turn on the vehicle.

I have even tried to stop the car at a light, turn it of, open the door and lock it - but still will not connect once I start the vehicle.

Other times it works without a problem. Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it?

 

have the same car, I have not experienced any of that issues

 

started having the same thing after I changed my battery.

Had that on my 991 tts and just fooled around with the memory settings and what was stored on the key. I don't have it anymore but I am not sure how it went away but I think it has to do with what is stored on the key. What annoys the hell out of me is that the jukebox almost always resets to whatever it was playing when the car starts up and not when it is turned off. That I haven't figured out.

 

I have EXACTLY the same problem. I have it on video as well. Did you found a solution? I'm calling dealership in the am.

It seemed related to the key settings (used he other key and it worked) so I just reset what was on the main key. But the total fix came when I got the PCM upgrade. The jukebox kept starting at the same song every time but now since I got the PCM software fix, everything works perfect. Same on the CTTS as well, we had it updated after the 991tts.

 

My CT doesn't have jukebox. I'm sorry I wasn't clear, I was referring to the problem where the PCM doesn't connect via BT to the phone at all, and there is a "loading map" message in the central panel, without the map. If I lock the car and about 20' later unlock it, then everything works like they should, but randomly the above problem may or may not happen. Thanks for the fast reply!

 

have been experiencing the same problem on my 14 CTTS..map loading on small display..no phone, setting not available. I have no settings stored on my key that im aware of.. only way i know to fix it is to turn engine off and restart, but that does not always work first time.

 

Same thing for me but what I did was to turn off the auto memory on lock feature when it was not working. Then later when it did work, I would turn the auto memory when lock function on before stopping the car and then lock the car when I got out. After that as soon as I turned it on, I disabled the auto memory on lock feature and didn't turn it back on. I think when it failed, if that feature was on, whatever was causing the failure would be stored in the key. I don't know why that happens but I was going to take it to the dealership to get it looked at when I happened on the solution.

Later my PCM just started resetting out of the blue and I took it in for that so you could probably get that update because it has to do with Sirius XM and it's warranty covered for all cars that have XM radio.

 

Dealership said it needed latest software update - took it in 2 weeks ago. No problems so far.

 

Thank you all for the replies. Dealership recently replaced the engine on my CT due to 2 scored cylinders and I was under the impression that the new engine had a relativity with the PCM issue. I'll let him know that he should update the firmware and then take it from there.

 

I have a 2013 GTS with the same issue. I noticed that it may be a booting up issue with the PCM computer. The problem appears if I shift the car into gear before the Porsche and cayenne logo appear on the PCM screen. I never seem to have the problem when I wait for the logos to appear and then a PCM function to begin. Not sure why, this is just an oberservation

 

I think you are absolutely right! It only happens to me when I'm on rush which backs your thoughts. Get inside, fire the engine and put it on gear before completely the logo disappears. Although I had an appointment with dealership to check the issue, I canceled and I'll keep an eye on it. It may not do it again if I wait for the computer to fully boot and logos disappear, and then put it on gear. Please keep us posted if you figure out the fix. I'll make sure they update the firmware on the next service, that may fix the issue since it looks that it's software and not hardware issue.
