Yikes!!!
Porsche says its most athletic SUV lapped the North Loop of the famous Nürburgring in 7:59.74 minutes, claiming a new record for sport utility vehicles. The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, which just debuted at the Detroit Auto Show, is the most powerful and top model in the Cayenne lineup, with output of 570 horsepower and 590 pound-feet torque from its twin-turbocharged 4.8-liter V8.

Beauty!
Those new 911 turbo wheels are growing on me big time.
Nice HP and Torque bump...
Will 0-60mph break into the (high) 3 second range without mods?
I got the 0 - 62 (100kph) at 4.1

Immense
As a Brit, and a Cayenne driver, you've just got to hand it to the Germans.
Getting an SUV weighing 2 and a quarter tons to accelerate and handle like this is one HELL of an achievement, and it seems no matter what RR throw at the RRS SVR, it'll just never be good enough.
The SVR is quick, but RR lacked a bit of judgement when they announced it as the record holder for an SUV round the ring. They really should have seen this one coming.
Fifteen seconds quicker round the ring is some margin. And it makes you wonder just what the new Cayenne will be like in 2017 with its new engines, Q7 lightweight underpinnings and cart-blanche handling set-up (plus the experience gained from designing the Macan) that will be available with the new body shell. Can't wait.
