anyone have experience with a 32" O.D. tire on a 958 turbo?
Hi Guys! As the title asks: has anyone run 32" outer diameter tires on a 958 Cayenne Turbo? If so, any rubbing issues at Normal, Terrain or Special Terrain ride heights? I'm considering BFG T/A KO2's in 275/55 20 which are 31.89" in diameter, about 2" greater than stock. They're expensive and I don't want to order them and have fitment issues if possible.
Thank you for any input from your experience!!

We are looking at the BFG T/A KO2's to replace the General GrabberAT2s we run for going Overlanding off-road. We have used the AT2s for five years and they have never let us and our diesel P!g down, even on technical trails.
For off-road travel we want the smallest wheel and the most tire to air down, looking to get KO2s in the 255-55-18 size.
To fit over the brakes an 18" wheel is the smallest we can use. Why are you using 20" wheels for this type of tire?

It's too bad they don't make a 30" diameter BFG T/A K02 tire as it would permit having a strong sidewalled tire without the clearance issue.

The CTT is such a capable handling machine on the road especially with its PASM, PDCC and PTV+ gadgetry, it would be a shame to run something like a tall T/A KO2 on the road for numerous reasons.

Ok, 32's won't fit - only 3/4" clearance in the front wheel well is present with 30" tires. I found what appears to be the only 20" option that'll work as it's 30.4" diameter: Continental TERRAINCONTACT A/T - SIZE: 265/50R20

Seems there are several AT tire choices in this size

Awesome picture Cole - enjoy the new ride. Hopefully you'll get to experience how the 958 does great off-road like the earlier Cayennes and even other vehicles, which many don't realize.
Overall these Terraincontact tires have been great off-road and will probably do the job well in winter, too - I've only run the Blizzaks so I'm not sure how these actually compare. Off-road, they have been great having resisted some really jabby rock trails which we have a lot of here that will easily pick apart the tread and sidewall of any normal all-season or winter tire and they are a good tough tire that's so far resisted puncture even in this 20" diameter and run at a lower 31-34 psi range. Traction wise they have great deep sand traction and work well crawling around on rocks. They are a touch bigger in diameter vs stock which gives a tiny bit of height increase but have no rubbing issues even at full compression. The height difference I find makes the dash speedo closely match GPS speed when going at speed. And on road they handle quite well without significantly altering the handling and braking and they are no noisier than my road tires, unlike the blizzaks which are much noisier in the cabin. I do prefer my road tires for warm weather since the 958tt handles so well (I have PDCC and PTV+), and in the winter the blizzaks have been amazing even in really heavy snow and on icy roads. I'm a believer in true winter tire rubber for cold temps.
Please PM me if you want to chat more, and enjoy that Cayenne!!

Thanks for the detailed feedback! Good stuff!
I LOVED my 955TT!! Have only had the 958 for a few days and already in love with it too!!
Can’t Wait to do a few tweaks to make it “mine”.
Winter AT tires are onnthe short list

I picked up a set of oem 19’s for my 958 turbo to put an mud/AT tire on just for weekends. Learned yesterday a 255/55 19 will fit. Found a mud tire, but planning to go with Cooper Zeon LTZ so I’ll use them in winter and sell my 21 Pirelli winter tires. I was super surprised my Michelin latitude sports got me through mud and rocks few weekends ago.
