Porsche Cayenne transfer case question

for those that had transfer cases replaced, does the replacement unit solve the issue or can this issue be expected again?

Mine was replaced 2 years ago next month with a rebuilt version. So far so good. The dealership I purchased my Cayenne from had to cover the $3000.00 expense under it’s used car 30 day warranty. They did the work with no questions asked.

My replacement is about 10K miles old (one year) with no issues. Whether it will hold up, remains to be seen.

That said, I was told, the original transfer cases had a potential mechanical defect, and the rebuilt ones solved that issue.
