I put on an Eibach kit, 18" wheels, and 60-series tires. It didn't get as low as I would have liked, but it's lower and it rides just fine in all conditions.

There are companies out there who will bend custom springs for you for a few hundred dollars. I would have gone with them if I had thought about it before I ordered the Eibachs, and I would absolutely go that route before I cut the stock springs.

YMMV...

I agree, I would never think about cutting stock springs.

I did however consider cutting around 1/4 coil on the H&R's since they have "dead" coils up top and would have no real effect on the springs...

With that said I got the install done, took my time and did it with a friend at our shop but it went fairly smoothly. Nothing too difficult, all bolts are removed from below, nothing from up top. The rear upper mounts were fairly tricky to remove, fronts you can get an impact on easily, rear's you need to get creative with extensions and swivels.

Overall I am pretty happy with the drop and ride, I would have liked it to get a little lower but honestly I don't think the ride has suffered much at all...I know some people said passengers will hate you but I don't think the cayenne rides that great to begin with so I can't say I noticed some large difference.

Anyways, I would recommend the kit for someone who doesn't want to shell out for coil-overs, it's a nice alternative for the $$ and at least kills some of that 4x4 mountain climbing OEM stance haha!

If anyone has any questions about doing the install shoot me a PM or post up and ill offer any advice I can.

I've done this to my previous car,,, it ended up killing the stock shocks after few years.
If I ever do this again, will go with the full coilover route as I ended up doing with my previous car.
