iPod Control

Hi all, I've been a long time lurker mostly on the 911 forums and found a lot of great advice from you guys. I'm in the market for the new facelifted GTS and I have an ipod question.

I test drive the 2014 GTS the other day and when I plugged the ipod into the usb port, it recognized it immediately. You could change the volume on the PCM touch screen but you couldn't move next or move previous when changing the track. The guy said you can only control the tracks on the ipod itself. Is it really like this? Sounds a bit silly if it is. Not that it matters, the speakers were Bose. Or is there some option i need to check to get this working? Thanks!

The guy didn't know what he was talking about. Of course you do have full iPod control from the PCM.

Awesome! I'm glad I can cross off that concern. Thanks!

Additionally, with the multi-function wheel you get some control directly on the wheel (volume/pause and you can program the MF button for one function). The MFD also allows you to change songs in the current playlist.

If you use an USB stick instead of an iPod, you can change folders(playlists) from the MFD.
