Chicago area furniture movers.
Bit off topic here but I'm researching movers and it's hard to gauge the quality of local companies. I know moving companies are moving companies and there's not much seperating them but maybe you guys can recommend ones that really came thru and did a good job?
FWIW, it's not that far of a haul, one neighborhood to another within the city. TIA Mike |
We have used Golan's for 3 moves...city to city, city to suburb, and suburb to suburb...excellent customer service and great care with all our stuff. Highly recommended.

Never heard of Golan's but I will take a look into them, thanks.

I contacted them and they quoted me $126 per hour. Sound about right?
|
Not sure if that is a good quote or not, but check out Burrows moving company on the north side, my best friend has worked there for the past 10 years or so, ask for Mike and tell him that Adam sent you - they do not have any BBB complaints - ever. Very high quality and I am pretty sure they can match or beat that price.
Best of luck! |
Thanks buddy. I'll give them a call.

Call Paolo at Peacock relocation. 630-878-3907
he is a viper owner and car guy also (owner of the company) tell him SVTdubs sent ya |
Golans broke a computer desk (unrepairable), chipped my master bed, messed up my armoire, broke patio umbrella, chipped 1 leg on a family room table and more.
After 6 months of arguing with them, I hired an attorney. 1 year after that, I got $450 from them.--Which was absolutely nothing!! I even had the extra insurance with Golans. The insurance was basicly a scam with them as well. Just my experience. |
In that area i have used Dallas Movers for once to move furniture and they worked really well for me there at that time.

Thanks. . . . . .
