Can't make up my mind for daily driver....
Looking to purchase 2 daily driven car (as in not too flashy when i drive to work lol) in HK and Canada later this year. so far i've narrow down to 4 choices. i'll be getting two out of the four on the list, one in each location (both has to be different tho), and has to be one nissan + one BMW, cant be both M3 and GTR. cuz the car in Canada will be the only car, and the car in canada will get 4-5 times more milege on it.
so the possible combos can look like this 1+2 1+3 1+4 2+4 whats u guys opinion on it? or which combo will u choose for each location? 1) 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe pros: cheap, fast, sexy looking, worry free maintence cons: still a nissan, everyone and their dog will have one in vancouver. 2) 2007 BMW 335i Cab pro: Hard top convertible, easy HP gain cons: will not consider it in HK since convertible is useless in hk and I have a SL for that already which i never open the top. 3) E92 M3 pro: ultimate driving machine!!!! cons: not sure if i want this in van or hk 4) GTR pro: promising potential, price reasonable(for the performance), huge aftermarket support cons: too boy racer car, too outragous for daily driver, use way too much gas once its modded (not ideal daily driver!) |
GT-R and G37.

hmmm u know what, that seems like an interesting combo....i never thought about that. cuz i've always had my eyes set on the M3 lol
i can mod the GTR and send the stock parts and fit them on the G37 as upgrade. ie upgrade the GTR brakes and put the stock 6pot into the G37... or even better, upgrade the exhaust manifold + turbos and i'll have an extra set of turbos to fit into the G37.... |
Don't get the GTR - one less person I have to fight with in the GVRD to get one. :-)
Shawn VanNeer at Kinetic Motorsports has had Vishnu fly in and tune a couple of local 335i's with Xede to very nice outcomes just with chip and exhaust. |
don't worry if i get GTR, it will most likely be in HK, since I'll be tracking the car in china and actually tuners there that will know how to tune it.
cuz for the price for a 335 cab loaded, it will probably end up near price of M3. and i dont want to get a M3 cab since the price will be near a 997 or M5, just not worth it. also the 335 just doesnt drive nearly as great as M cars. but then, driving a convertible in the vancouver weather is just too fun. something that can not be enjoy in HK. i'm sort've leaning towards M3 in hk and G37 in canada for now. |
GTR... I know a couple tuners in the USA that can do an amazing job too.
|
Why not 3 and 4? M3 and GTR would seem to be the best combination.
|
G37 is officially off the list.
this thing is hideous.... i cant believe they actually made a beautiful car so ugly... from this http://www.automobilemag.com/multime...concept+01.jpg to this http://www.automobilemag.com/multime...37_coupe+3.jpg the last gen G35 looked much better.... |
You should definitely go with the M3... I'm biased though. ;)
|
m3 for sure..
|
Crea, could you post pictures of your 996 RS?
|
M3 and 335i
|
Update, I've ordered the 335i Cabriolet.
after seeing the cabriolet in person.... i'm giving up the M status and going for the hard top vert. even buying it in white. oppose to all my other black BMW lol |
M3 and 335i,too. That are very good daily dirvers.
|
the new z35 looks nasty. the previous one was hot but the inside was nasty.
