hey man, its actualy very easy to get access to... Open up the hood, and you'll see a 2 covers, one on each side with 3 - T-25 screws.. remove them and you'll have access to the plug for inspection.... the plastic piece commonly breaks and causes a small section of wire to be exposed and shorts out the system... Let me know once you get to that point...

I was just wondering on the simple cracked connector that you found had a problem the labor involved to get to the connector. Do you have to take the airbag assembly down and out of the car? Or are you able to get to it without taking the airbag assembly out of the car?
