Glad the video helped! You definitely want to reuse the clamps. I wouldn't trust the bracket that goes over the top of the battery to hold the battery in place on its own. The battery is just too heavy, and over time the bracket is bound to weaken and break.

Thanks very much for the Vantage battery replacement video! I live 400 miles from the nearest AM service shop and recently bought an 09 V8V with its original battery, which obviously is near the end of its life. I had read a copy of the replacement instructions earlier, but seeing the video makes it all understandable! One question - considering that there is the u shaped strap over the top of the battery, is it really necessary to replace the sliding clamps? Thanks, Thomas Dolan
