Hey how's it going man? Question for you, I need to know if I upgrade my displacement going from 3.4 to 3.6 or 3.8 liter flat six would I need to change cams, valves etc.
Do you know what is involved? Is it possible to change the rear end too?

    Thanks Paspar2

Ok is the car a little quicker now smoother. So do you think your 996 is worth more or less now with a new engine since its not original. How much did it cost you roughly including labor?

Still have it. It has a new engine after an ims failure at 80k. I have not upgraded the ims on the new engine.

    Hello PasPar2,
I heard you had a 2002 911 tiptronic from someone on this forum (Split I believe told me). I wanted to find out too when I should do a replacement of IMS/RMS upgrade and retrofit. I only have 60k on the clock now and mine is a 01 tiptronic. Is there any difference on symptoms manuals vs. tips? Do I need the single row or double row bearing? Did you have work done on both RMS/IMS? Do you still have the 996 or did you sell because of this issue?

    Thanks
