Apparently there is a way to remove the HMSL without removing the rear window. According to a post on the forum, one user reports the dealer did it for him by accessing the light via the C pillar for a cost of about $1100.00. The user BENTLEY TECH also has more precise detail on the procedure. I don't know how to do it via the C pillar and the manual I have says you have to remove the window. Sorry I'm not more help.
