Sounds like a good plan! HRE is a reliable brand, wheels you selected look great while being reasonable priced and tires are the best you can get for the street.

    Enjoy!

    Hi Rob,

I had Victor Innsbrucks (a black set for the street, a red set for the track). They are 'rotary forged' as advertised by Victor which seems to be an in-between process that gives lightweight but cheap wheels. Now, my personal advice is to STAY AWAY from these wheels. Here's a pic of what happened to me at the track:

2/3rd of the spokes broke in a slow corner at about 60mph. It could have been a lot worse at 100+mph. I had read about a couple of Victor Innsbrucks failure on the Internet but thought it was just bad luck...

    So my advice is :
    -go for OEM rims
-good BBS cast wheels (what I have for the track right now). Most of the OEM wheels are made by BBS anyhow.
-or buy from a reputable high end manufacturer (i.e. HRE like you mentioned) but stay away from cheap replica's. I learned my lesson.

    Hope this helps,

    Bets regards

    Serge

i noticed you had aftermarket wheels on your white 991. what make were they? were they cast or forged? did you have any issues with them?
i'm considering hre matte black p 40's or some facsimile thereof. before i purchase, i'm doing my due diligence. would appreciate any feedback
    thanks
