Thanks for the heads up. I spoke to my insurance company and they do/did NOT provide for diminished value in my policy. However, they will provide a notification to the other insurance company that I'll be looking for diminished value. Once the car is repair, the onus will be upon me to seek it from the offending party.

Your accident, if you're not deemed at fault - there is a 100% case for diminished value as the other company would be paying. Furthermore, some insurance companies in some states do protect their own clients for diminished value if it's written in the policy.
