Grid guard doesn't clean the wash mitt

How exactly do you get the dirty particles out of your wash mitt? I rubbed it against grid guard and can still see plenty in there... Any tips?

Also if I were to put it in the washer, do i put it with clothes or just MF towels?

Thanks...

What kind of mitt?

Schmitt? it will go in with pads,

Wool it will be best if it is simply rinsed out an hung dry.

Spray out the mitt every so often as you wash. Remember i "foamed" up the mitt after rinsing it out? This did two things first was put a good layer of suds in the mitt. second it flush rinses any grit out of the mitt as you do that.

Aaron,
Yes, Schmitt... also the mitt from Gariot's. They both have particles and I couldn't get them out no matter how I rub them against grid guard (even tried to hand-pick but didn't work). I spray them down with fireman's hose and didn't work, either.

What do you mean by wool it? Steel wool?

So I can put these mitts in with the polish/wax PC pads in a washer?

Thanks.

John

The schmitt can go in the washer. You do not want to wash the wool mitt from griots. If you have the micro fiber mitt from griots that can go in with your microfiber towels.

if you have a wool mitt clean it with a stiff bristled hair brush.

Did you try to rub the wash mitt across the grit guard a few times? The guard is mainly just to prevent your wash mitt from hitting the dirt particles in the bottom of the bucket. From time to time I run into a spot that sticks to the mitt and I just rub it hard on the guard and it cleans it ok. I wash my mitts daily with liquid detergent with warm water and air dry. I also have a few extra mitts laying around. So best to have a few mitts to use and rotate them every now and then.
