Sharing Car w/Wood Shop
I have a 4 car garage and have allocated about a third of it to my wood shop. I'm not running the wood tools daily, but I do get out there occasionally. I currently have a dustop cover on my alfa to keep the dust off. I would guess that putting this cover on and taking it off adds slight scratches to the finish. The car has never been polished and has a lot of fine scratches, so I have been more concerned about keeping it clean than adding a minor scratch or two to the finish.
I recently purchased a pristine 996TT and have been debating the best thing to do with this car. Do I buy another cover, which may make keeping the finish scratch free impossible, a duster, which may scratch as well, or just wash more often.
What is the best approach here? I know sealing off the woodshop area would be ideal, but that really isn't an option right now.

If I was in your situation, and I had a 966T, I would simply wash it every time the wood tools are used... you don't need to do a full wash but a simple rinse and dry... I hate any sort of duster because people misuse them 99% of the time and scratch up their paint... and I also hate car covers because no matter what, stuff is going to start getting under the cover and attaching to it, then you're dragging all that over the paint... good luck with whatever you decide to do
I would just spring for a central vac system and do dust collection, sawdust and cars do not mix. I have been contemplating building a shop in the backyard to keep my tools apart from the cars.
