Thanks...it's still not complete, but I had to have it up for the PCA event. I'll have a formal announcement when it's all done.

Oooh, I want that last kit, but I have entirely too many unfinished bottle of things piling up. I have to finish up the Zaino I have before trying something new.

Moe, how is the longevity on the Zymol waxes? My primary reason for going with Zaino is how long it lasts and that fact that layers build on one another so the more I use the longer it stays. I just dont have time to wax every other week. Even once a month is pushing it during most of the year. If I were to strip off all the Zaino and go with a Zymol which is what I want to try next what wax would you recommend for a compromise between good looks and decent life before a new coat?

As a note if it makes any difference, my car is a slate blue, so a light blue with that looks almost dark silver in some lighting. Will post some pictures this weekend when I have a free moment. The pictures I have right now were shot at ISO 800 in sunlight with a polarizer for effect so they are grainy and embarrassing and slightly enhanced with the polarizer...so none of that right now.

The longevity of zymol waxes depends on how it's applied and how it's maintained. I've heard clients easily getting 3-5 month of beading and depth using Concours. I have Vintage on my truck, right now it has einszett, and it typically lasts 8 months. And my truck is outdoors 24/7 and is lucky to see 2 washes a month, so it takes a beating. But as soon as I use to wash it, when it had Vintage, and applied some field glaze, it was stunning to see the metallic paint.

Moe, what exactly do you mean by applied correctly? Ie prep work done and paint is truly clean or correction of swirls and etc?
And how can you maintain properly also? My idea of proper maintenance is getting a new layer on there more as often as possible??

There are many factors in applying zymol. The most important is ambient condition. You should be polishing/waxing @ temp above 65. You MUST use HD-Cleanse polish prior to any zymol wax application. The paint surface must be clayed properly. To achieve optimum clarity, it's a good idea to remove all imperfections, to the best of your ability, such as swirls, microswirls, marring, etc. Some waxes achieve maximum clarity when layered 3 times.

Maintaing is simple. Wash using zymol Clear only. If possible, only use DI water and forced air dryers. Use high quality microfibers and apply zymol field glaze every other wash. That's pretty much it.
