My Sister & Sister-in-Law Bought me a CR Spottless for my B-day!

How cool is that? I was browsing the web a few months ago with my wife in the room and I was looking at the CR Spotless system. I casually dropped a hint and she must have written it down and told them! They bought me the DIC-20. Can't wait for warmer temps to use it! I love car detailing toys!

That's a great gift! Not socks...not a tie...but a water deionizer!

That is fantastic. I recommend finding a pressure washer to go along with it. As another cool detailing toy it is obviously good from an entertainment standpoint, but it also significantly decreases the amount of water that is used so it will extend the life of your CR resin.

Once the weather gets better, happy detailing!

Yeah, much better than clothes any day of the week. I am really excited for this one.

I already have a Karcher pressure washer. My next purchase though is a foam lance or foam gun. I am just not in the mood to spend $100 for it right now as it will sit unused in the garage until the winter freeze lifts here in Chicago!

So...do you hook the water source (hose) to the deionizer and then the deionizer to the pressure washer? This way any water coming out of the pressure washer is spotless? I'd assume you use it for pre-rinse, foam gun attachment for soap and then finishing rinse? I'm trying to decide (or actually casually convince myself) if I need a CR system

^^ You have it exactly right.

The setup that we use every single day is exactly that. We have a quick release nozzle on our hose, and on both sides of the CR. Hook the CR directly up to the faucet, turn on the faucet to flush all the air out of the CR, then hook the CR up to the pressure washer.

That way all of the water coming out of the pressure washer is spot free. You can use it for all of your washing functions, and because it is spotless soft water it will also greatly enhance the foaming action when you use it with a foam gun.

So it is a great combination all around, not only does it make the rinsing process more effective, make the foam gun more effective, but it takes a lot of the pressure out of the washing process knowing haste isn't needed to avoid spots.

True dat! Water is horribly hard here. I accidently sprayed water on one of my cars and it left the nastiest white, crusty water spots. Luckily got them off before they really set in.
Got a DIC-20 and a $100 pressure washer from Harbor Freight. Spot free washes everytime! Love it!

I've been using a DIC-20 for about a year and LOVE it. Perfect, spot-free car with NO drying. Best part is that you're done in half the time since you skip the drying step.

One other thing - I recently required a part for my system after a leak developed. One email to the CR Spotless webpage and they FedEx'd me the part -- FREE!!!! This is a top-quality tool that comes with world class customer service. You gotta get one!!!

I have to also say this is a very cool tool. I don't use it all the time, but for a quick rinse or wash its perfect.

When you get a foam Cannon for it, you will be amazed at how much foam comes out, the hard water really limits the foaming action.

Cheers,
Greg

I cannot remember the name, but I bought if off a guy on one of the forums, he had several to sell.

You can buy one from Cam-spray, but its plastic based.

Cheers,
GREG

If you guys are interested, we can do a group buy on the cr. As for getting more foam using the cr, that's because you're using pure water without any particulates. Usually, you'll need half the amount of soap as needed with tap water.

Moe--I'd be interested in a group buy on the DIC-20... What kind of prices could we get?
