Metropolitan Detail Saleen Mustang Heavy Correction

This Mustang came to us because 3 other detailers were not able to get the deeper scratches out from the paint. Not to mention the heavy swirling. I quickly found out the only way to make this perfect was a Trizact 3000 damp sanding, followed by 4 stage machine polish. I used PG and a purple wool followed by orange CCS pad and SIP followed by white ccs and Super Finish, then finished with red CCS and Ultrafina. Cleaned paint with Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite, and topped with one coat of Dodo Juice Supernatural.

Here are a few pictures of the finished product. Ready for the Mustang Roundup. Thanks for looking.

DAMN John!

Was the paint really that difficult? How many hours did that take?

Cheers,
GREG

Greg, I probably have about 20 hours or so into this one. 4 stage plus wetsand, that'll take a while. The paint wasn't terribly difficult, but perfection was the goal.

About 10-15 microns were removed during the entire process. Not too much considering the car had readings as high as 200 microns.
