Water stains on car & glass, how to remove properly?

Hi guys,

My car has been sitting in the dealer's lot for some months during the winter season where we get a lot of rain. After I brought it home and gave it a quick polish/wax (autoglym), I can see many water mark/residual/stain when I bring a light close to the surface. I then tried some glass polish product on the windshield, but no success. I haven't moved onto trying on the paint itself as I am not sure what is an appropriate way to do it. May I ask for some of your suggestions? Big thanks in advance to everyone.

(I will try to get some pictures, but I have failed so far as it's really hard to catch it on camera)

I'd try claybar first. If that doesn't do it, the car is going to have to be gone over with a polisher.
