shipping Porsches to Dubai
Hi,
we will bring our toys to Dubai during our next 8Month stay.
We asked some friends and they told us we could be lucky and the registration should be done very easy (with new Rubbers & Exhaust-fix) but also that it could be a probl cause of the carīs ages and the versions.
We would bring a 964 RS Clubsport & a 964 RS ...so very rare ones.
The cars should be on Dubai-registration cause of insurance-probl.
...sure they will be for Sale afterwards- but first we want to take them out to Oman or Trackdays.
So WHAT we have to watchout for before we have them send down there.
And WHY it could be a probl. with the age? Is there a EmissionsTest now????

Age is not a problem though you can only get 3rd party insurance (cars over 10 years old). You will have to pay a tax on 5% of the value of the car if its in the country for over 6 months.
Emissions are not as strict as the US so if you pass Cali smog you'll easily pass US emissions regulations.
