Good evening,

So after letting my 06 GT sit for a few yrs (life happened) I started to sort out its issues. I will try to attach the print out from the software in hopes you all can start me in the right direction as I have googled and used up what little knowledge I have with this car. I will note the things I have done so that some these codes could be overlooked. I'M more so worried about the terminal 30 on these codes.

I just replaced my air compressor today and its still not kicking on. I hooked up my Autel PowerScan to it to shoot 12v while installed and it worked for 2 mins straight. Can didn't lift a cm. I replaced the relay and checked the 40amp and both 10 amp fuses.

I replaced the radio yrs ago so the no communication with the HVAC and audio is normal.

I fitted all of the inside, license plate, side mirrors and puddle lights with L.E.D’s.

My ABS pump was replaced so I'm guessing I have to do some type of learn process to have those codes go away. ( I need to get it to a shop so the breaks could be bled also).

Both batteries are on it's own CTEK trickle charger and despite the vacuum leak it starts up ok (Might need to put some type of gas treatment in there tho).

If for some reason the log.txt doesn't load then I'll try to get some screen captures and post them.

The bumper is off due to me needing to take the fender and headlight out to get to the ABS pump.

thanks for any and all help!!!

Side note: Has anyone heard from Adrenalinejunky as of late?

Hi all,

I’m still looking for a Bentley Continental GT. I’ve come across another one for sale in Scotland(there’s not too may up here). Anyway, I'm looking at a 2004 model and this one seems ok but it failed its 2024 annual UK MOT(Emissions/safety check) on CO emissions and Lamda incorrect. Seller said it was fixed by adding fuel additive(he didn’t say what type) and driving a few hundred miles. The MOT website does show he done a few hundred miles in between MOT failure and MOT pass. I don’t take anything for granted when buying cars and I just want to check with the forum that adding fuel additives could indeed potentially fix lambda/CO emission problems. Can anyone comment?

Seller also said the few hundred mile drive also sorted a ‘dragging’ rear calliper!! It went from ‘dragging excessively’ to ‘dragging, but not excessively’ in the MOT tests. I’m not to worried about this as I can check this if I view the car and there are repair kits for $50 on ebay. Do you need any diagnostics etc to change the calliper/bleed the brakes?

Thanks again

Tony

Having coolant leak. It suddenly went from MAX to ~0.5 gallons (~1.8 liters) below MIN in a few weeks.
Leak is not completely consistent. I think we saw some leak on the ground 1 day, but not other days.

Mechanic initially did a pressure test and found no leak. They dug around again and suspect that it is from the turbo lines.

They checked with dealer and said would likely need an engine out work. Thoughts from the photos below? Thank you!

Hi Everyone
I have a 2010 Bentley Continental GT Speed and I am having issues with my Audio system (Radio & CD)
The sound is usually muffled & basey sounding although sometimes i hear crackling in the passenger speakers and then the system works perfectly until I go over a bump and it returns to "muffled mode"

I checked out my fault codes with my Ross Tech & 2 Audio faults showed up
1 - 00418 Front Right DSP Mid-Bass Speaker (R102)
007 - Short to Ground
2 - 00875 Treble Speaker Front Right (R22)
007 - Short to Ground

I have checked out the connections to the amp in the rear of the car and they seem to be ok
I have removed the Passenger Door Card & checked cabling / connections & they seem to be ok
If i had a loose connection I would have expected to see a fault "Open Circut" not "Short to Ground" as shown ??

Does anyone have ideas of what to do next to fix my problem

I live in Florida between Tampa & Sarasota (Parrish) - if anyone knows of a good Bentley audio repair specialist I would greatly appreciate it

Looking forward to some great ideas / solutions from the team

Best Regards
Camaz

Just wanted to share some info on my 16 GT speed in case someone was in the market for one

I bought it cpo in 2022 with 30k miles. Extended cpo twice so 5 years total coverage. It’s my daily driver. All of these repairs were done under warranty

1. 33k miles - Front Wheel bearings went bad after driving over rumble strips

2. 35k miles- trunk water leak- exit drains were clogged- cleared

3. 38k miles- clunking noise heard over bumps at low speeds- upper and lower control arms

4. 45k miles- forgot what yellow warning light came on but my steering spring clock sensor went out

5. 51k miles- car dropped on one side- strut bushing went out

6. 55k miles- front left shock clunking - replaced

7. 56k miles- front right shock clunking- replaced

8. 57k miles- vibration in highway speeds when turning- steering rack replaced

9. 58k miles- steering wheel stiff as a rock when turning for the first few minutes after start- steering module replaced in trunk

10. 60k miles- clucking over low speeds- lower control arms replaced again

11. 60k miles- dealership noticed valve cover gaskets leaking

I love the car but it’s been in the shop for a cumulative of 4 months while getting all these things replaced. Still wouldn’t give it up until I absolutely have to which is right before the warranty ends

I am working on a remote start module for the Bentley that would be much easier to install if I can manipulate CANBus data. Yes, I know about the Kessy and all of it's checks and crosschecks. I already have a way around that!

Hello Everyone,

As I mentioned before I took the plunge again and bought a 2013 GT. (Apparently I did not learn with my 2007. LOL)
At any rate, as always, I have a few things to sort out.
1,
My airbag light comes on intermittently but seems to go off during turns or pressure on the steering wheel. Comes on after some time of wheel centered driving.
I suspect a clockspring problem.
I cannot find a part number for the clockspring. I suspect it is a VW group common part but so far my searches have left me blank.
Does anyone know the part number and if it is a 'generic' VW group part? Is it common to Gen 1's, 2's, FS etc? I can't fathom Bentley using two or three different clocksprings in such low production cars.

As always, thanks in advance.

Jim
