Porsche Says Ferdinand Piech Quits Board's Executive Committee
2008-03-03 10:29 (New York) By Chad Thomas March 3 (Bloomberg) -- Porsche SE, maker of the 911 sports car, said Ferdinand Piech quit the supervisory board's executive committee. Piech, 70, will be replaced by family member Hans Michel Piech, 66, Stuttgart, Germany-based Porsche said today in an e-mailed statement. Ferdinand Piech is also the supervisory board chairman of Volkswagen AG and MAN AG. |
i wonder if this would affect the cars, if any at all.

With any luck this will mean the death of the 911. Piech has been the strongest proponent for keeping the model alive since his dad (I think) was the one that designed the original. Piech is too emotional/sentimental - he pushed the Veyron through, wanting it to be his own legacy, but the car cost a fortune and they still lose money on every one. Some legacy.
