2011 Porsche 991 "Erlkönig"

Hey guys,

lately there have been spy pictures of the new 991 or 998 posted.

What do you think about it?

So far I like what I see, then again, the production model may look different...

Seems the company they hired to cover up the body didn't do a very good job...

I do like the continuation of the round headlights. Even though I own a 996 I still prefer the round ones. More "Porsche" looking

Well that can't turbo for sure, but it looks like it is wide body which would mean this is Carrera 4.

Plus those mirrors have been stolen from Mazda Miata

I also have a 996 and often wish it has round headlights.

I don’t like the rear of the car. I hope it is a generic version and the back doesn’t look like that where the tail isn’t distinct and the spoiler is an all in 1. The mirrors have to be fake and only there for practical reason of driving not the 1s they are going to use.

its common for porsche to have a huge camo for the rear wing. there are more then enough space for the motorized wing to rise up under the camo. the Panamera and back when the 997 was spied, it looks exactly the same.

I think ever since the straight sided base 996 carrera body was released they have been on a path to resurect the curves back into the body. I recall the spypics of the basic 997 carrera body as having a rear as wide as the 996 turbo so maybe the shots are giving a true picture of 991's stock body and If thats as wide a 997tt then 991tt will be another 44 mm wider again.......wow she gonna get v curvey. Only prob with this endless widening regime is that we will need two lanes soon.

Not feeling those mirrors I hope they aren't production. They look like modified 2011 Cayenne or Panamera mirrors.

The back end flow reminds me of the older Z's.
