Was a great day but too windy and cold. I am a wuss what do you want.

Is it true that the FXX cost $2.3 million and can only be driven on track days approved by Ferrari?

Absolutely right and you pay about $1,000.00 per hour for Ferrari's mechanics to be there!

I'm assuming the car stays with the owner at all time though? If your caught driving this car on the street what's the consequence?

My understanding is that Ferrari has control over the cars. I am not sure if the title passes to the "owner". It may be set-up as a lease "privelege". So, I am not sure the car stays with the "owner".

Ferrari has considerable stringent regulations on this car. One "owner" sold his (or his rights) recently w/o clearing it with Ferrari, and now he is blackballed from any future special purchases.

It's not a street vehicle. It's a race vehicle like the Challenge cars. It can't be street driven.

I see. Thanks for the info.

Challenge cars can be driven on the streets though. Your talking about the Scuderia and the Stradella right?
