360 maintenance schedule/cost?
 

I'm now at a point where the purchase price of a 360 is well within my budget, but i'd like to know more about ongoing maintenance and the cost of such services...does anyone have an outline of what a prospective 360 owner should expect? im one to enjoy driving my cars not just parking them in a garage, so id like to know what to expect...thanks in advance.

Are you buying new or pre owned ? If pre owned what year and mileage are you looking for and what type of transmission ?

right now im just tryikng to gather information. i see these listed in the $75k-$120k range, but need to know what all goes into owning one. im also looking at a 996tt which seems to have a far more reasonable maintenance schedule, more reliable, etc. but nothing beats an F car

The annual service should cost $1000-1500. The major every 3 years with cambelt change will be about double.

The 360 is an infinitely more fulfilling car to drive than the 996TT.

Save yourself the stress and spend the extra money on a PPI to be done before pulling the trigger ! Goodluck and keep us updated and in that price range I guess your looking at 99-00 360 coupe's !

no, do you have a link? im probably going to make a purchase in the spring, no sense in buying a car to store all winter. and yes probably 99-00 cars. hoping a silver or yellow one in good shape. glad to hear repairs arent that bad. ive read posts of people paying $25k in service day one. a couple grand a year is manageable.

thanks. it seems as though 355s have bottomed in the $60k range, is it safe to assume the 360s have pretty much bottomed out in the 70k range? obviously the depreciation never stops, but it seems like weve just about seen the lowest these will go for the next few years?

In this economy, who knows but I think 360s will stay at $10k higher than a F355.

surely a 360 will always be priced higher than a 355 for obvious reasons, but no one can predict a bottom or top, just look at the stock market. i personally think 360s still have room to fall because gallardos and f430s are getting cheaper by the day. 70k would also probably be a very poor 360. 90-100k sounds more correct.

I had a 2000 Modena F1 and was a nightmare , The maintenance costs were terrible.

F1 cars burn the clutch a lot , the F1 transmitions back then where not good so clutches would last around 5,000 to 7,000 miles for a cost of $7,000.00 parts and labor at Ferrari of San Diego. There is a mayor campaign about the cam-variators or something like that and its a huge issue if it was not done properly.

I have had a Gallardo,murcielago and a 996 TT and If your pockets are not deep enough to keep up with the service costs just stay safe and buy a 996TT.

A 355 will cost way more in service than a 360 and if you decide to take that road buy a 6 speed with a proper PPI don't go an get the cheapest car from an Auction , manheim or any dealer that buys and filps without prior servicing from the car.

Keep in mind to save at least $10,000 x year as a contingency fund in case the car brakes down.

A 70-80k 360 is going to be rougher then a detroit hooker on christmas eve so you may want spend the extra $ and buy a cleaner well kept model that will save you many heart aches down the road !
