gallardo or f430

HI guys, I m in the market for either a ferrari or lambo. I have driven both and I like both so i will base my choice on 1. reliablity, 2. price and 3. lower maintainance cost
Im willing to spend no more than 140k.
would you recommend a gallardo or F430 and why?
Any advice would be appriciated, thank you

Neither will fit those criteria very well.

Price: you will probably find the gallardo cheaper, but if your budget is 140k you should have no problem finding an f430.

Reliability: I can't really comment here.

Maintenance Cost: Lambo will probably be slightly cheaper, only slightly though.

Personally I would go with the Lambo just because I think its slightly better looking (personal opinion), and the v10 sound is intoxicating. What about the audi r8 v10?

lambo will be more reliable, lower in acquisition cost and maintainance cost.

this is why i own one. it's also partially why you see ferrari owners barely put any miles on their cars.

i would ask yourself if you think a sports car should have an arm rest and then i would buy one of these:

Lambo anyday, german build quality with italian passion

Just recently I drove my friends ferrari, i love the rear wheel action to me, but it depends on what you are buying the car for. For everyday, Lambo by far, a little more reliable than the Ferrari in my eyes, but the weekend lover goes to the Ferrari by far.....Something about buying a Gallardo and not having the doors go up always boggled my mind....

Just went through the same dilemma.

Drove multiple G's and the Scud.

No comparison for me....Scud was the clear cut winner

If you buy a Lambo you will always still want a Ferrari
If you buy a Ferrari I doubt you will long for a Lambo

I just went through the same situation. I wound up buying an F430 for a few reasons.

1) I am not an italian car guy so I thought my downside in the Ferrari would be less than the Lambo if I did not like it.

2) The Lambos interior looks like a Honda Civic next to the Ferrari in terms of detail and design ( I have full leather, full stitch, full carbon).

3) In the NY area (where I am) Lambo owners are basically Corvette owners with money. Big time guidos.

4) If anyone wants a 2005 Ferrari F430 with 7000 miles Red/Beige, let me know. I am going back to a 997 GT2.

5) Porsche, there is no substitute.

If your over 6' tall you won't fit in the Lambo.

or the 430. I am 6' and is rather tight.

bosco42 04-11-2011 03:21 PM

I m 6' 1" and have no problem in the Ferrari.

To me there is no comparison between the two.

Lambo is a wanna be.
Ferrari is the real deal.
