Did Thxbuff2001 get his F430?
I am also in process of buying my F430 and was wondering who thxbuff2001 ended up buying and from whom. I have been researching and decided a Ferrari dealer is best to avoid hidden damages in low priced F430 out there.

I would recommend buying from an authorized dealer because when you encounter some problems, you have some reputable people to talk to. Most of the time, they would help you because most of them would like you to be a client for life, rather than a client for 1 car. Most INDI dealer just wants to make a sale and not think about satisfying you.
BUT, remember authorized dealers would not disclose everything about their car. An example, an authorized dealer in the WEST is selling right now a f430 that is in an accident and is CPO's or qualify for CPO.
What I recommend:
1. Authorized ferrari dealer.
2. PPI the car. When everything is in order...
3. Fly in there and do a final inspection. When I flew in, I looked closely about imperfections in the leather, paint, scratches etc. This is my final inspection. My observation, independent PPI are more conscious about mechanical but leave cosmetic issues second. That may be true, but I can replace a muffler and repair anything mechanical, but I do not want to repair/repaint a panel, and definitely you cannot replace a seat with worn out bolster area.
PS: Avoid an independent dealer as much as possible. But thats is me. GOOD LUCK.
You will love a ferrari f430. Everything is perfect and is a real drivers sports car. Get ready for the attention it bring you. From day 1, you will notice the difference.

Appreciate the insight thxbuff2001! I agree about the indy dealers. Spoke to a few and did not get the warm and fuzzy. Really pushing the sale........ I noticed you are in Texas. Did you buy the car from a dealer in TX? Any good dealers you recommend in TX?
Thanks

I bought from an out of state dealer. Board walk mostly sells consignment cars.
Austin and barretts san antonio no inventory. Houston their prices and miles are too high.
Your best bet in Texas is to wait for for something in Boardwalk.
BUT who I recommend,
Scottsdale, Beverlyhills, Newport Beach. First class salesmen as far as I know. No pressure, very knowledgeable of their cars. If you talk with scottsdale, talk with Matt, he will take care of you. If you talk with newport, talk with Chris. Tell them Leo recommended you.
They were willing to accept trades and priced them above auction prices except Newport Beach. They also split shipping both cars.
Remember, prices range
$120's 2005
$130's 2006
$140's 2007
Whether you buy from an authorized dealer or and INDI, the prices are thesame, so why risk buying from an INDI.

When you buying a ferrari, it does not matter if it is priced 5-10T above most cars because if you buy a really good as new car, you will retain its resale value.
What you need to find is a good as new car, there are a lot of cars out there that people are not driving.
People do not recommend buying a garage queen, the hell with it. I will buy a 4T mile car instead of buying a 15T mile car if I can help it. Whatever the year model. This is a ferrari, this is not a BMW or MB or even a Porsche(sorry I am a porsche guy too).
After you buy it, then put some miles to it.
Let them take the depreciation hit, and let you enjoy it by driving it.

For more info in ferrari,
subscribe to ferrariChat. You will get helpful info there.
When you have a car in mind, get the VIN #.
Type it in the search engine in ferrariChat.
usually problem cars are discussed there with VINs. That may help.
carfax is junk.

Thanks. Is Autocheck any good? I am settled into the price range, just do not want to over pay. I am good with fair pricing for items such as a Ferrari. I have learned there are no free lunches......
BTW who are you using for service?
Thanks again.

Exactly, why buy new when you can get many for 1/2 of retail with less than 10k miles, sometimes even less.

I've ran across 2 430's recently and am having some issues deciding which one would be a better buy.
Car 1. $220k msrp with aftermarket wheels w/ cf lip, side, and diffusor.
Car 2. $247k msrp completely stock
Everything is else about the same, 3kmi, except for interior/exterior color and pricing. Car #2 is $10k less and is for sale by a private party. I prefer car 1 colors but $10k more and $27k less options makes it hard to pick.
Any idea on which one you guys would pick and what price range you think is good for either cars?
