I don't think the price was confirmed, that is speculative. Eric Clapton is not an idiot, and regardless of what he paid (I guarantee it was way less than $4.75MM) he got a 1 of 1 that he will be able to enjoy as an homage to the 512BB which he loves. I for one won't hate on EC because he can afford to indulge himself, regardless of the price.. he earned it.
