F430 or Gallardo
F430 or Gallardo
Hello,
For my Dads 50th birthday we are going to surprise him with a new car! I am his son and am looking for some suggestions, it is still 2 years away so we still have some time.
Currently he owns (and still will at the time he gets his new car) a 2011 Porsche 911 GTS Cabriolet.
In the past he had owned a 355 Spyder but always wanted a 430.
My dad likes to track his cars and probably will track the car we get a few times ( they were bought to be used!)
So now we have to decide between the Gallardo and F430, I have brought it up casually on which one he likes better and its pretty much a tie.
So It comes down to which one is better and why and also what is the maintenance required on each car?

Yeah exactly. Or if you're looking now, a track ready 360 Challenge Stradale is in that range.

In 2 years Scuds will be available in the $150 range for sure. There have been some black Scuds I've seen for low $160's.
I am biased, but if he wants a driver's car - 430

The 430 is very reliable and fairly maintenance free. Annual is about $1000
both are good car but i think gallardo is more better then F430, because there are many features in ti like.

Been chucking similar questions around in my mind. Annual's on both should actually be pretty similar in terms of maintenance. But then again my friends 430 was a lemon nightmare that always turned Italian on him, and my other friend 06 gallardo spyder was a glorified paperweight that spent more time at the dealer than at his house.
actually makes me think r8 v10 is the way to go... haven't heard the nightmare stories about that car that I have with the Italian brothern. Only thing is I drove one and found it a bit... soulless.
