South Beach Breakfast Club (SBBC) 5th annual Key Largo Run, Dec. 5
 

We skipped this fantastic drive last year and many made it known
they wanted it to come back, so .........

The 5th annual Key Largo Run to the Mariott Florida Bay for
Saturday, December 5, 2009 is officially on.

The schedule is to arrive there at 10am to 10:30am
as a complete group with bayfront parking.

The Marriott will have a breakfast Buffet waiting for us. It is $15.00+
tax/gratuity per person and and includes the following:
-- Omelet and Waffle Station
-- Bacon and Sausage
-- Scrambled Eggs
-- Breakfast Potatoes
-- French Toast or Pancakes
-- Breakfast Quesadilla
-- Vegetable Quiche
-- Breads, Muffins, Bagels, and Danish's
-- Fresh Fruit
-- Cereals
-- Assorted Milks
-- Cottage Cheese and assorted Yogurts
-- Coffee and Juices included

There is plenty of parking by the waterfront for 30 to 50 cars.
If you have too many Pina Coladas after brunch, they have offered a special room rate of 169.00 per night for us (normally $200.00)

There will be 2 meeting points.
The plan is to leave Fort Lauderdale at 7:15am and meet the Miami crew 8:00am.

The Meeting points are:
Fort Lauderdale: Mobil gas station at I-595 and Flamingo Rd. NE side.
Miami: Snapper Creek service plaza on the Turnpike.

If anyone as a group is coming from from Palm Beach.
We may need to add a 3rd meeting point for the the Palm Beach crew.
In 2007 we had about 30-35 cars and about 35 to 40 people total.

So we need to know who will be joining us with a firm commitment.

Now guys the Marriott is reserving parking spaces for our cars and
an area facing the florida bay for the brunch based on a commitment of
people. We're not collecting funds in advance for this, you will pay on your
own after the breakfast. So please confirm only if your 100% sure you
are going to join us. Thanks!!

Are you guys taking Card Sound Road? or regular US1 to key largo?
The only cost is the price of breakfast? ($15+T+T)
I may swing by... not 100% have to check with the wife+kid

It has to be more civilized than the lambo run we did down cardsoudn road a few weeks ago, thats was insane!

If we are going to be cruising in a relaxed way, (not racing) fine. Because I may be riding with my 4 year old and the last thing I need is a ticket. LOL!

This is a cruise. We leave the "racing" for the tracks. We abide all traffic laws.

There will be two starting points: Ft. Lauderdale and pick up the reset of the caravan in Miami. It'll be an early start: ~7:15 in Ft Lauderdale and 8 in Miami. Locations are noted in MJ's post above, but subject to change. So, look for a final update here on Dec 2nd.

This will be my 1st key largo run... but did go to the South Beach Breakfast Club with the same group couple weekends back. Nothing insane - most folks save the racing for the tracks, so everyone keep things very reasonable on public roads. I had my fiancee (voice of reason) with me for SBBC and she had a good time.

Count us in. 2 cars.
