My 2011 Gt3 RS got a New Tranny and 4.0 pressure plate & clutch
Well, the other day my pressure plate fractured; bits and pieces caused damage to the external of the tranny. Apparently this is a common problem with the .2 Gt3 RS. The dealership has already had to replace the clutch assembly due to weak pressure plates from factory on several 2011 Gt3RS cars. Porsche is now recommending the 4.0 pressure plate go in its place. The car is not designed for aggressive down shifting. Tech told me to use the brakes more
, but I love the sound of the motor when I downshift haha (i do heal toe)
Have any of you guys experienced this? I was the third RS in Dallas to get a 4.0 clutch upgrade under warranty apparently. But I got the last tranny in the US haha covered under warranty as well

Yikes, I see this. Man I heard from the dealership that they had done a few in Dallas. I can't believe Porsche put such a weak Pressure plate in our car. I have 8000 miles and it went out lol I love your dive plane spoilers by the way. I just ordered some earlier this week and are having them painted gold to match the gold decals and wheels on my car. I can't wait to get my car back!
I did not have to pay a dime aside for an alignment. My toe was off a bit.
Porsche picked up the tab! The car is driving strong and back in my garage :-)
